MSFT 6 month chart
Windows Vista delayed until June 2007??? Wouldn’t you know I own Microsoft (MSFT) stock. Can you say — Apple or Linux? Unbelieveable if this rumor is true.

According to friends who work at MS — MS is intentionally delaying shipping Vista until mac OSX.4 or OS11 ship. Apparently apple’s and MSs’ agreement for trading certain technologies in the late nineties allows for fair use of the XP kernel by Apple. Rumor has it that Apple is working on a version of thier operating system that will run Apps developed for the PC natively within Apple GUI.

Thanks Jim … great inside rumors. I suspect that it might just happen. I’m running Bootcamp right now which requires a reboot everytime you want to switch operating systems and have done the emulator ‘slow motion’ routine for years. I tend to use XP more and more until recently as the nifty new little Mac Mini runs circles around my PCs for certain applications. (Safari, Apple’s browser, running on the core-dual is noticably faster than my PCs with either Firefox or Explorer.) Unfortunately nothing I have can crunch video at the speeds I would like … I’d sort of like to see a AMD optimized 64 bit speedster in action for encoding video.
