Volkswagen R32
While visiting the service department at the VWFairfield dealership, I had a chance to see my first 2008 VW R32 … a hot little limited production Volkswagen I mentioned a few months ago. As my son would say … Sweet!

I was at my dealer yesterday picking up my TDI and wandered the lot a bit. They also had a blue R32 on the lot. Amazing “thrust to weight ratio” you might say, but $35K! For an uber-pimped Rabbit? Ouch! One could get a *really* nice Passat for that same money. You’re well into nice Audi territory at those prices. Nevertheless, I probably left a little drool on the car as I passed by. *grin*

Thought I would pass along an update on the R32 in the photo above. It was in for service a few days after delivery. Seems a drive shaft failed and there isn’t one to be found yet. The service adviser indicated about a 4 week wait. Ouch.
