Biodiesel fill: $3.09 for B20

Posted By on September 26, 2007

This might be the last biodiesel fill at the Mt. Gilead Ohio renewable fuels Sunoco for a while. I heard back from a fellow from last weekend CinciTDI GTG in regards to buying my 2003 Volkswagen Jetta TDI. We may have struck a deal this morning.

Although I recently filled with Krogers ULSD while using up my splash blended the last of my B99 at home for $2.89, I topped off today at exit 151 on I-71. Petroleum diesel was $3.03, B2 – $3.05, B5 – $3.07 and B20 – $3.09. (Palm Treo 700p photo)

Nice TDI Rich! Seems like prices have crept back up. I’d guess all the hubbub about heating oil costs for the winter caused most of it.

  • Sort of. Guy in the Columbus group just posted B20 at $2.79. I filled at the neighborhood Krogers for $2.89 … but think you are correct about the winter fuel oil issue. Every year it is the same.

On the otherhand, 45 MPG beats my Honda Pilot which gets 22 MPG max. (I don’t even want to know what the city driving economy is!)
