Suite: Judy Blue Eyes – Crosby, Stills and Nash from 1969

Posted By on December 31, 2015

CSN_SuiteJudyBlueEyesHow about closing 2015 with a 1960s (and 70s) tune and one that I’ve listened to a couple times this past week (unusual for me except this time of year).

Suite: Judy Blue Eyes was a “suite” of short songs written by Stephen Stills  in 1969 and performed by Crosby, Still and Nash on the “B” side of their “Long Time Gone” album. It was a memorable “Woodstock” performance in 1970 and is listed on Rolling Stones list of the 500 Greats Songs of All Times. The decades representation is interesting as the 1960s and 1970s sure dominates (probably the only thing the Rolling Stone magazine publishes that I agree with!)
