Still tinkering with the BMW X5 35d after limp mode ordeal

Replaced the defective Throttle Actuator on the BMW X5 35d last night … unfortunately it did not solve the Limp Mode problem. Now to look further into the disconnected sensors after the ECU came back from Andrew Rodriguez and FixMyVW.com.

  • Andrew also suggested I check the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor as they have a tendency to get plugged up with soot or oily goo … mine looks clean so I’m still back to something triggering the DPF differential pressure sensor. It is not an easy to reach component and being plastic, is easy to break. At this point I’m being ultra-careful in attempting to remove any hoses or even the locked on electrical connection.
