Granddaughter pleasure and driving with Waze GPS Navigation

I upgraded to the stock display in my 2010 BMW X5 35d SUV last year to the Avin Android based Nav PLUS and it has worked well as a navigation display … but is way too sluggish so I won’t recommend it … although it might be the older chip and OS. Recently, I noticed an issue when running the now Google owned Waze which has been my preferred realtime automotive GPS app and it seems as if the "ETA miles" are not calculating correctly? At first I thought it must be me, but then noticed that it corrected the "miles to destination" when I reached the next turn/exit … or a decimal point was displayed. I should probably pull up the Waze app on my iPhone and compare … or better yet, try another Android device running Waze. What am I missing?

As for the "pleasure" part of subject line and this weeks drive, it was babysitting Annalyn. Spending time one-on-one with her makes me sure miss the hugs and unabashed love she freely gives me. She is indeed a special little granddaughter.
