Hopefully Brenda will not see a bicycle covered in the garage

Brenda’s birthday is in August and after remembering her riding the small kids bike (a joke) and seeing that our granddaughters are both growing into bicycles, it seemed like a good idea to find something reasonably priced for her to ride with them (and me) — and kill two birds with one stone considering it will be for her birthday. I’ve been shopping the secondhand market and missed out on a couple of nice ones. BUT .. last week I found a “like-new” Northwoods Springdale hybrid 18-speed bike priced right.
At first I was a tad bit suspicious since it was so new, but after talking and visiting with the retired guy who bought it for his wife, it look just fine. You would be hard pressed to find any imperfections or even any wear. I slight scuff on the seat, perhaps a missing front fender (???) and maybe a couple years of dust in storage, but that would be about it. I made an offer lower than he wanted since I still have a couple weeks … and since we hit it off on a few other topics, he took the crisp $100 bill and seemed happy. 😉
I’m now thinking we might need a bike rack … or perhaps folding hitch rack that can serve double duty???
