Nothing to see: Sewing my cap and Beach Bub umbrella bag
Posted By RichC on September 2, 2023
Really, there’s isn’t anything to see … just a little sewing. Last weekend I got out the Sailrite Ultrafeed in order to salvage a pair of shorts that had frayed … but I failed, so they are now in the trash (I miss my mom).
But since I hauled home the BeachBub.com beach umbrella bag to repair, I made that repair so it is ready the next time we head to the beach (hopefully soon).
Since I’ve also struggled to keep the slick nylon strap on the back of my “lightweight beach hat” from slipping loose, I decided to add a could stitches to the strap to keep it in place. Since I have a spare “cheap” lightweight hat for home, I also stitched it BUT removed the metal clasp since it serves little purpose now.
