Tech Friday: Tesla’s navigation and Sentry Mode

Since I’m still “admiring Brenda’s 2019 Tesla Model 3,” but I’ve also been intrigued by some of the impressive navigation and realtime data. The other day on a trip to our local Costco, the Sentry Mode security recorded all the carts 
and people who were around the car while parked. I now know why so much of the vandalism data was recorded during Elon Musk’s push to cut “waste, fraud and abuse” from our Federal government with DOGE, although I still can understand why so many who pay taxes were so vehemently against better efficiency? Perhaps there government jobs were on the line if they worked for the Federal government … or most likely they just hated fiscal conservatives or President Trump (probably the later).
Back to the navigation capability of a Tesla …
Not only does the software and high speed data do a great job of managing the state of charge and getting you to and from Supercharger locations (see planned locations here) and accurately suggesting the length of time to charge, but it is impressive at tracking on the vehicles display OR on the phone app (video recorded and sped up the short segment to a little over 1 minute). 😉
